Variable, Inc. is a 6-year-old technology startup company based in Chattanooga, TN, nominated for 2017 small business of the year. We design and manufacture a hardware device that can match colors through smart phones. As the world leader in digital color matching, Variable has recently landed a national retailer for one of our products and continue to grow our customer base internationally. 

 

We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Sales & Marketing Support Specialist to join our incredible team. You will be responsible for managing daily sales support requests, implement product development strategies, build digital content for marketing assets, and support Sr. Leadership goals and objectives. In addition, you will be assisting with sales operations, new product launches, resolving key issues within multi-national customer base, and maintain long-lasting customer relationships. The ideal candidate can provide close attention to detail, willingness to learn, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including oral & written communication. You will be working in a fast-paced technology startup environment alongside a highly talented and driven team. 


Responsibilities for Sales & Marketing Support Specialist

·       Support all sales operations, functions, and customer requests

·       Improve sales operations, streamline customer processes, and manage digital sales assets

·       Build solutions for customers through identifying customer needs, challenges, issues

·       Consult with product development team on software enhancements or bugs

·       Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop sales support materials

·       Promote all products the company offers across multi-national customer base

·       Provide professional post-sale support to enhance the customers satisfaction

·       Remain in frequent contact with the clients in your responsibility to understand their needs

·       Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the company’s reputation

·       Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth customer onboarding process

 

Qualifications for Account Manager

·       Established track record of success achieving sales targets in a direct selling role

·       Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles

·       Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CRM software is a plus

·       Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships

·       Attention to detail, strong organizational, and time-management skills

·       Ability to be coached and to incorporate feedback

·       High business acumen & strategic approach to resolving issues

·       Strong interpersonal skills, willingness to work independent, and team oriented

·       Entrepreneurial ‘Can Do’ attitude

·       Ability to travel for sales functions

 

Preferred:

·       Previous experience working in a startup environment

·       BS or BA in business administration, sales or digital marketing preferred

·       1 – 3 years of previous sales experience

·       Experienced problem solver
