Title: Clinical  Sales Specialist




Company Summary:

410 Medical, based in Durham, NC, is developing and distributing innovative products that help to improve resuscitation of critically ill patients. The company’s products are designed to enable clinicians to more effectively and efficiently respond to patients in urgent need of rapid volume resuscitation.  


Position Summary:

The Clinical Specialist is a critical role that will be responsible for a variety of activities related to education and commercialization. They will contribute to sales growth as well as strategy and training.  The Clinical  Specialist will have individual responsibility for growing LifeFlow use in current accounts and  prospecting, acquiring and growing new accounts. The specific roles and responsibilities include those listed below.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales goals related to new and existing accounts

  • Follow-up with sales leads and inquiries and identify key contacts and new leads for target accounts

  • Seek out and cultivate strong relationships with key account users and other stakeholders

  • Conduct LifeFlow training and fluid resuscitation education for providers, distributors and others

  • Maintain thorough understanding of clinical subjects relevant to our products and markets, including expertise in volume resuscitation.

  • Assist in the roll-out of new products

  • Enter detailed summaries of account activity and new account information, including contacts, in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database

  • Participate in trade shows

  • Coordinate new vendor set-up, pricing and other activities required to set up new accounts 

  • Solicit feedback from existing customer base in order to understand uses, ideas and preferences related to LifeFlow and related products

  • Other duties as directed



 

Skills / Qualifications: 

  • Multiple years of sales experience preferred

  • RN degree or Paramedic certification preferred

  • 3+ years clinical sales experience in ED, ICU or prehospital healthcare 

  • Familiarity with hospital setting and navigating relationships between departments and floors

  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey ideas in a clear, concise manner

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop positive relationships with new people

  • Strong customer-service work ethic

  • Ability to shift focus and effectively juggle multiple projects and stakeholders


Other requirements & details:


  • Significant travel involved; weekends and night shifts possible, up to 75% travel

  • Full-time role based in a city that has easily accessible airport exchanges

  • Must be able to meet credentialing requirements in order to observe products within a hospital or EMS environment (need all applicable vaccines)

  • Maintain professional and clinical continuing education, licensure and credentials

  • Carry detail bag weighing up to 25 lbs.

  • Ability to stand or walk in numerous hospitals at meetings for 6-10 hours per day
