Equity Trader, Associate -New York


·         Research and identify trading strategies and methods leading to greater profit and income for clients

·         Assist senior traders in executing orders and daily routines

·         Assist on daily Trading products e.g. Morning-News, Midday Wrap

·         recommend ideas and suggestions in order to improve the present algorithms or help in the creation of new ones

·         study and analyze the condition of the market and conduct a detailed research on the financial, social, and economic data and information

·         Consistently maintaining trade blotter

·         Prompt correspondence with institutional clients to help quickly and effectively resolve any issues

·         Improvement and streamlining of any and all operational processes

·         Utilizing the opportunity to work with/across all teams: High Touch Traders, Low Touch Traders and Risk Arbitrage

·         constantly monitor and review the transactions to verify the accuracy and ensure that they are in conformance with the rules and regulations of the governing organizations



·         Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required

·         2+ years’ experience in Trading or Equities within a broker-dealer, preferred

·         Advanced IT skills, including all standard Office applications; Bloomberg

·         Strong communication skills, ability to foster relationships and an outgoing personality

·         Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment

·         Excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to a demanding client base while consistently meeting deadlines

·         Willingness to obtain requisite licensing qualifications, if not already obtained (e.g series 7, 57, 63, or CFA)
