Investment Banking Associate, New York

 

Our US ECM team is in an exciting growth phase. Due to the continued success within the Equity Capital Markets Division, we are looking to expand the team in our New York Office


Responsibilities:

 

·        Analysis of research covered listed securities

·        Experience with deal execution is highly preferred

·        Assist in development and continued cultivation of client relationships

·        Analyse Financial Sponsors

·        Manage and assist in preparation of financial models and business valuations

·        Assist European ECM desks with US distribution

·        Work closely with corporate access teams to profile candidates for Nondeal Road Shows (NDRs)

·        Use Dealogic & Ipreo to follow new filings, profile corporate opportunities

·        Attend industry events; organize activity/invitations (for corporates) to Berenberg Events, Conferences, etc.

·        Support US Lead, Co, Underwritten managed public IPOs and follow on offerings & support private raises (PIPES, etc.)

·        Conduct preparation and review of materials used in the financing of clients, including investment memoranda, management presentations and pitchbooks


Qualifications:

 

·        Minimum of 2+ years of experience at an Investment Bank in ECM, Corporate Finance or Research with an emphasis on Equities

·       Financial modeling required

·       Capable of conducting independent fundamental and financial analysis of private and publicly-listed companies in diverse industries

·        Experience with financial modeling including broad valuation techniques is required

·       A data-driven background is highly desirable

·       Experience producing pitch books and other marketing materials preferred

·       Requires a strong ability to work on independent projects; as well as coordinate projects that require a collaborative approach from multiple divisions

·       Familiarity with data sources such as Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, Dealogic and IPREO along with broad experience using Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

·        Series 7 & 63 & 79 required
