Staff Accountant

Summary
Audit Analytics Accounting team is growing!  We are seeking an experienced and reliable accounting professional to drive accounting functions in congruence with our Chief Financial Officer.  The Staff Accountant drives Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the daily recording of transactions, and invoicing.  The Staff Accountant will also assist the Chief Financial Officer with month end close, bank reconciliations, budget processes, and varying projects. Additional autonomy and responsibilities will be assigned based on performance.  

Responsibilities
  • Record transactions, payments, and invoices in multiple bank accounts 
  • Post invoice payments to QuickBooks and Salesforce
  • Track vendor and customer invoices in QuickBooks and related programs such as bill.com
  • Maintain Accounts Payable process including invoicing, customer setup, filing of W-9’s, and vendor communications 
  • Drive Accounts Receivable process including invoicing, billing contracts, account maintenance, and collections via email and phone 
  • Submit sales tax reporting and payments 
  • Assist with month end close, bank reconciliation, and reporting 
  • Collaborate with Chief Financial Officer on budget process and forecasting
  • Maintain Petty Cash accounts
  • 401(k) deposit transfers 
  • Manage Fixed Asset maintenance

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 5+ Years’ experience in Accounting or Bookkeeping contributing to various accounting functions 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Accounting knowledge including understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Competency with QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Solid organization and time-management skills
  • Self-motivated, can-do attitude, and a willingness to operate in an ambiguous atmosphere

The ideal candidate also has
  • Salesforce and Bill.com experience
  • Familiarity with Pivot tables and Vlookup‘s in Excel
