Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Summary
The Audit Analytics development team is growing! We are an independent research firm that provides key data and analysis to global leaders in the financial, accounting, and regulatory communities.  We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to drive the quality assurance process of delivering high quality software using agile and continuous delivery methodologies.  The Software Quality Assurance Analyst develops and executes test plans that result in the release of high quality software to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test cases, document results, and coordinate user acceptance test activities 
  • Participate in meetings by providing information required to triage and resolve issues 
  • Compose manual and automated test scripts for new functionality and develop test cases associated with the functional requirements for a project
  • Test software during integration, release, and regression phases while documenting results
  • Process product reviews and inform the development team of defects and errors
  • Ensure final product satisfies the requirements and meets end-user expectations
  • Identify areas for product improvements to enhance efficiency

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 1-3 years of project related experience, including user acceptance testing, business, or technical analysis
  • 1+ years of defect tracking software experience
  • Understanding of project and software development life cycle
  • Knowledge and interest in technology, and public sector markets
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Solid understanding of web based technologies, web services, and testing strategies
  • Excellent time management and organization skills 
  • Comfort and ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast paced work environment
  • Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills

The ideal candidate also has
  • General knowledge of SQL, relational database concepts, software design, and database modeling preferred
  • Experience with software testing tools like Selenium, Behat, Codeception, or Katalon
  • Experience working with Jira 
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
