Job Overview |

Aperture is looking to fill the role of an Accountant who will be responsible for full-cycle accounting duties. As our accounting leader, you will play an integral role in our continued business growth by ensuring that our accounting processes keep up with the fast growth of our company. The position will report directly to the Vice President of People and Culture.

Responsibilities |

  • Ensure accuracy in general ledger
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers and our deferred revenue schedule
  • Establish, document, and look for ways to continuously improve effective and efficient bookkeeping processes
  • Work collaboratively with Aperture’s fractional CFO and Riverside’s Controller
  • Schedule and participate in monthly financial review meeting
  • Code and enter vendor expense invoices
  • Process accounts receivable and invoice clients and customers
  • Process employee time sheets and payroll
  • Process employee expense reports
  • Provide department leaders with monthly invoice reports, P&Ls and transaction activity statements
  • Prepare quarterly royalty reports and payments
  • Provide vendors with 1099s
  • Provide assistance in the annual budget creation
  • Gather materials to provide to tax accountant for annual tax filings
  • Gather materials to support annual third-party financial review
  • Participate in inter-departmental company teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications |
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting role
  • Advanced accounting software experience
  • Experience working successfully in a remote setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, preferred
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred

Required Skills and Abilities |
  • Aptitude for business
  • Detail oriented and committed
  • Must be comfortable meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience with financial statements and tax returns
  • Advanced Excel skills (proficient with pivot tables and vLookups)
  • Collaborative problem solving

Physical Requirements | 
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged

    • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers 

      • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another 

      Work Environment | 

      • Work is regularly performed in employee’s home and routinely uses standard office equipment. 

        • Candidates must have access to private, professionally appointed home office free from regular distractions
