Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst

Experience Level : 7+ Years of finance, accounting and analytic experience

Education Level : Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

Industry Experience : SAAS or Enterprise Software required with Telecommunications desirable

Location : Oakland, CA, USA

Job timings : Full Time

Responsibilities:

Prepares the annual plan and quarterly forecasts for the income statement, balance sheet and cash flows.
Prepares the budgets by month to support the plan for bookings, revenue, backlog, department expenses, other costs, headcount, collections and capital expenditure.
Reports monthly actual results compared to budget and forecast, and provides explanations for deviations.
Prepare the weekly dashboard of key metrics.
Prepare gross margin analysis
Assists with the month end close process as required.
Provides financial analysis and financial support to the functional managers.
Provides financial analysis of proposed acquisitions and models the impact of the acquisition on the company
Prepares profitability analysis for major deals.
Performs other ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
Implement budget and control systems
Prepare reporting package for management and BOD

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a wide variety of functional areas, geographies and nationalities.
Absolute integrity and the use of good judgement to handle the confidential nature of duties, tasks and information.
Good time management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines.
Ability to work with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and Host Analytics.
Prior experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
Strong accounting skills are desirable.
Ability to interface with the global team on financial matters and achieve successful results
Ability to be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and make recommendations to the CFO
Ability to work with executives
