The Vice President of Product Development will lead the research, development, testing, production and ongoing version iteration of the entire product suite for Neurohacker Collective.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the product strategy and roadmap. Create and execute on yearly and quarterly product roadmaps that prioritize our development resources towards the company’s long range product suite goals. Manage the budget, team and deliverables related to product development.

Oversee research and development. Market research, ingredient research, literature review, hypothesis creation, scientific database development, formulation, internal testing and iteration, safety data, legal compliance, expert engagement, etc.

Oversee testing and trials. Manage CRO relationships for clinical trials, design and oversee internal product testing and iteration. Develop and manage a citizen science portal to engage our community in sharing relevant data and analyzing that to inform product development.

Ensure product safety and regulatory compliance. Maintain a detailed database of all ingredients, literature review for each on safety, compliance review (for different countries).Stay abreast of the changing regulatory landscape and find alternatives when regulations change. Oversee creation of safety data sheets and prepare NDI and GRAS filings as needed.

Help oversee product manufacturing. Work with the director of manufacturing to ensure quality control standards across the manufacturing process from ingredient sources, purity and potency testing, manufacturing process, NSF/GMP and other relevant certifications, shelf life assessment, development of internal quality control standards and processes, etc.

Participate in shaping company strategy. Work with the executive team to interface product development with sales/marketing/brand, operations, finances, legal, etc. towards the fulfillment of the company’s mission. This includes working with marketing on the branding and messaging for products, health claims, intended audiences, etc.

Manage ongoing market research to include current status of new products in our space, new ingredients, technologies, studies, companies, trends, regulations, etc.

Represent the company as needed on topics regarding our products. Communicate with regulatory agencies, the press, customers, etc.

Success Criteria:
Develop new products and versions that meet safety, efficacy, uniqueness and customer satisfaction objectives.
Meet agreed-upon timelines and annual objectives for number of new product launches.
Qualifications:
At least five years of experience of research and product formulation in the wellness industry.
At least eight years of progressively responsible experience of product development.
Experience of clinical trial project management.
Master’s degree or higher (or equivalent relevant study).
Passion for these topics and this type of work.
