We are driven by a passion for innovation, a dedication to rigorous science, and a commitment to sharing knowledge that empowers individuals to achieve their best selves.

Neurohacker Collective seeks a Front-End Engineer to help build and maintain our website.  The Front-End Engineer designs, executes, tests, documents, and maintains software to facilitate data going in and out and the interfaces of our applications. • Ensure frontend code and designs comply with ADA accessibility standards, utilizing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

    • Document frontend code, including ADA compliance reports and code style guides.

    • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while optimizing front-end performance for speed and reliability.

    • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to resolve issues promptly.

  • Educate yourself with emerging front-end technologies, industry trends, and best practices, including WCAG.

  • Collaborate with the development team in all aspects of the application development lifecycle.

  • Participate in team code reviews; contribute to and follow development standards and effectively demonstrate technical solutions to the other developers.

  • Provide ongoing support, optimization, and maintenance for live systems.

  • Recommend documentation improvements and software development process standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 6+ years experience in professional front-end development, ideally some of which you’ve spent in startups.

  • Demonstrated experience as a frontend developer in a Ruby on Rails environment.

  • Proficiency in HTML/ERB/HAML.

  • Experience using SCSS for frontend development.

  • Experience in creating reusable interface, design, markup, and stylesheet components.

  • Proficient in applying responsive web design principles for various screen resolutions on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.

  • Skilled in optimizing web graphics and images to ensure fast load speed.

  • Strong knowledge of ADA accessibility requirements and experience implementing accessible designs, including familiarity with WCAG 2.0/2.1 and other relevant accessibility standards.

  • Significant experience working with Javascript, ideally in CoffeeScript.

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git and GitHub.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Prior experience in the consumer goods, e-commerce, or DTC industry is beneficial.

Opportunity:

  • To help develop a life-changing, category-defining life sciences company.

  • To work with a team of cutting-edge thought leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, industry experts, activists, and visionaries - and an extended team of global influencers.

  • To learn a tremendous amount (about neuroscience, medicine, psychology, philosophy, evolution, business, leadership, communication, etc.) and be stretched and supported to grow personally and professionally.

  • To be supported in optimizing your cognitive capabilities and psychological development with the best resources available anywhere.

  • To apply your full talents and heart to a project worthy of dedication.

  • To have your work, study, play, and contribution all be the same thing.
