Vice President of Wholesale Sales

Inspire wholesalers to actively engage in the neurohacking movement while growing our business and brand.


The VP of Wholesale Sales will direct and manage all wholesale sales and business development strategies and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, and staffing. TheVP of Wholesale Sales will meet or exceed all annual financial goals for the Wholesale business unit and support the long-term business strategies. The VP of Wholesale Sales will foster collaboration among all departments and will collaborate extensively with the rest of the executive team, the founders of the company and its shareholders.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Team; helping to set and execute short and long-term plans.

  • Set wholesale strategy, operating plans, and organizational structure to acquire new wholesale customers that align with overall company.

  • Deliver steady and accelerated growth with existing wholesale customers.

  • Establish and execute a wholesale roadmap that aligns with the overall company strategy and our aggressive growth plans.

  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profitability goals.

  • Personally develop strong relationships and strategic partnerships with top wholesale customers.

  • Lead, train, manage, mentor and motivate the wholesale sales team.

  • Work cross-functionally with the COO to optimize the company’s inventory and supply chain management process; deliver industry-leading service while balancing the company’s working capital requirements.

  • Provide strategic leadership, being the voice of the wholesale customer, with regard to assortment planning, marketing plans and in-store experience.

  • Attend trade shows and publicity events; meet with key buyers and retailers.

  • Manage relationships to ensure the quality of service, sales and profit goals are being met.


Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with legal compliance and regulatory issues associated with health and claims related to our products.

  • Understand the products, mission, and our philosophy intimately. Be able to help anyone understand any aspect of the company.

  • Continuously brainstorm novel ways to make interacting with the company more surprising, enriching, and wonderful.

Qualifications and Background:

  • Must Have:

    • Relevant experience as a high-level director or manager of wholesale sales in the nutraceutical space (or related natural food, dietary supplements and VMS space).

    • Minimum 3-5 years sales management experience.

    • 5+ years experience managing a functional team.

    • Experience in developing wholesale marketing strategies for improving brand awareness.

    • Capable of building and managing the entire wholesale sales department at scale.

    • Success selling into leading national (Whole Foods & GNC), regional retailers (Sprouts & Lazy Acres) and eCommerce (Vitamin Shoppe, Vitacost, LuckyVitamin).

    • Established business relationships with buyers/category managers at retailers and wholesalers (national and regional).

    • Experience with planning and forecasting.

    • Demonstrated ability to balance many competing demands and focus on the most important things.

    • Highly successful at cultivating collaborative internal and external relationships.

    • Clear written and verbal skills with exceptional follow-through.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills - can navigate all personality types and emotions gracefully.

    • Demonstrated ability to balance many competing demands and focus on the most important things.

    • Passionate interest in neurohacking and the related health, performance optimization, and human potential spaces.

  • Ideal:

    • Experience in nootropic space specifically.

    • Familiarity with the regulatory issues associated with the nutraceutical space.

    • Science familiarity and interest.
