Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for manufacturing, processing, inspecting, and packaging customized clear aligner medical devices in a highly automated, technology-driven production environment. This role supports daily manufacturing operations utilizing advanced equipment, digital workflows, and world-class automation to deliver high-quality products that improve patients' lives.
The Production Operator plays a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance while supporting Angel Aligner's mission of transforming smiles through innovation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, adaptable, and energized by working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment where continuous improvement and teamwork drive success.
Essential Functions
Manufacturing & Production Operations
- Operate and monitor advanced manufacturing equipment, automated production systems, and processing tools used in the fabrication of custom clear aligners.
- Load, unload, and oversee automated manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production flow and equipment utilization.
- Perform aligner trimming, polishing, finishing, cleaning, packaging, and related manufacturing activities according to approved procedures and work instructions.
- Follow standardized operating procedures, production schedules, and takt times to meet daily production and quality objectives.
- Support production line changeovers, start-ups, shutdowns, and routine operational activities.
Quality & Compliance
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and promptly report abnormalities, defects, or process deviations.
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to verify product accuracy, appearance, and compliance with manufacturing specifications.
- Verify product specifications and ensure alignment with customer prescriptions and manufacturing requirements.
- Adhere to FDA regulations, ISO 13485 requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company quality system procedures.
- Complete production records, quality documentation, and electronic data entries accurately and in a timely manner.
Continuous Improvement & Teamwork
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Planning teams to achieve manufacturing goals.
- Participate in training programs to develop proficiency across multiple production processes and technologies.
- Support cross-training efforts and provide operational flexibility across production areas as business needs require.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures and cleanroom protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while adhering to established procedures.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately enter production and quality data.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and positive attendance record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, automation, or industrial operations.
- Experience in medical device, dental, orthodontic, laboratory, pharmaceutical, or healthcare manufacturing environments.
- Experience working in GMP, ISO 13485, FDA-regulated, or other quality-controlled industries.
- Familiarity with automated equipment, robotics, high-volume manufacturing systems, or digital production technologies.
- Previous experience performing quality inspections and maintaining production documentation.
