Who we are: The International Foundation for Valuing Impacts (IFVI) is a newly formed organization building upon the work incubated at the Impact-Weighted Accounts project at Harvard Business School. Our mission is to build a global impact economy, which brings solutions to the great social and environmental challenges we face, by integrating impact valuation in financial analysis, capital allocation, and decision-making.
The Role: The Manager will report to the Chief Market Development Officer (CMDO) and will be integral to the success of the Market Development team, which will focus on advancing market uptake of impact valuation globally and generating evidence that impact valuation is feasible and valuable to investors, corporates, and regulators. The Manager will play a critical role in supporting the CMDO to design and execute the market development strategy, including conducting initial market research, stakeholder mapping and outreach, scoping potential collaboration opportunities, developing market uptake activities, and establishing strategic partnerships.
Illustrative activities to be developed and executed by IFVI’s Market Development team include:
- Develop external tools and resources for education and market awareness of impact valuation
- Participate in regulatory processes and mobilize key decision makers to drive progress on adoption of impact into regulation or interpretive guidance
- Test impact valuation methodologies with corporates and investors across geographies and industries
- Develop interoperable data and software solutions for impact monetization
- Support impact monetization practices within accounting, assurance, and consulting firms globally

What you will do:
The Manager is responsible for the following activities, which may evolve over time:
Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Under the guidance of the CMDO, support the design, development and execution of a market development strategy supporting the illustrative activities listed above.
- Conduct market research to support stakeholder mapping and activity prioritization efforts.
- Conduct day-to-day program management with relevant partners.
- Coordinate go-to-market execution with the CMDO, the Research and Communications teams, and continuously track performance against set milestones and KPIs.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development:
- Support stakeholder engagement efforts and partnership development, including with investors, regulators, companies, standard setters, academia, and industry associations to advance our mission and drive market adoption of impact valuation.
- Communicate the foundation's mission, initiatives, and value proposition effectively to potential partners and stakeholders and represent IFVI in external engagements as needed (both virtually and in-person).
- Follow regulatory developments and trends in corporate sustainability disclosure and identify opportunities for IFVI to engage.
Internal Operations and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Research Team to engage of a broad number of diverse stakeholders for input into research and methodologies through public consultation processes and targeted stakeholder engagement activities.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to distill complex concepts and research outputs into engaging and effective material for multiple audiences.
- Manage and oversee the effective implementation of IFVI’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (i.e. Salesforce or similar platforms) and internal processes.
What we are looking for:
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
- Proven experience in partnership development, strategic alliances, or business development, preferably in the non-profit or impact investing sector
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain partnerships with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and results-driven mindset with a proven track record of achieving targets and delivering projects on time
- Proven experience in and knowledge of ESG/sustainability issues and/or corporate sustainability disclosure
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences (e.g. investors, corporates, academia, public sector, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience or willingness to work within a flexible and entrepreneurial environment
- Understanding of CRM systems and experience in CRM management
- Flexibility to hold meetings across multiple time zones as necessary
