Opportunity Summary:  

Looking for a creative marketing professional to create compelling content to spark Hoosiers to go “All IN” to care for  kids and families impacted by foster care. Are you skilled at using social media to tell compelling stories and drive  engagement? We’re looking for a skillful storyteller who can leverage the power of social media. Are you a marketing  pro who enjoys collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to help craft clear messages to engage the community? 

As the primary online voice for this initiative, the Marketing Coordinator (MC) will lead the charge as we posture The  Third Way of engagement in Indiana. On a daily basis, the MC will develop online content, dialogue with followers  online, craft monthly newsletters, innovate and lead a year-long communications strategy, manage relationships with  our partner organizations, and invite community members into deeper engagement.  

Duties And Responsibilities: 

MOBILIZING COMMUNITY COMMUNICATIONS LIAISON  

Identify and document how to work directly with Every Child field staff and community partners to  understand initiative priorities, collect stories, and offer strategy and guidance on how to engage  communities across Indiana.  

NEWSLETTERS  

Work directly with Every Child Indiana team and partner organizations to procure content and stories for  newsletters.  

SOCIAL MEDIA  

Strategy  

Lead and document strategy for the Every Child Indiana social media that complements the broad marketing  plan put forth by the Marketing Cohort and enhances the goals of the field team.  

Manage social media posts and brands on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for Every Child Indiana.  Content  

Develop organic content and establish a pipeline for field staff to supplement stories, running all content  through The Contingent’s social media filter.  

Reporting  

Develop and conduct an annual retrospective audit each January of online reach, relevancy, and impact for  each online platform for Every Child Indiana. 

 

Personal Qualifications: 

Commitment to the mission of The Contingent, including Every Child, The Script and Survival Is Not Enough  (SINE) 

Possess cultural and emotional intelligence and an ability to work with a diverse group of leaders Demonstrates a passion for operational, technical, and customer experience excellenc e Ability to articulate a position on the importance of the faith community engaging vulnerable children, youth,  and families 

Education and experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years demonstrated success marketing 

This role is ideal for someone with knowledge or lived experience re: the foster care system

Employment Terms and Accountability: 

  • Full Time (40hrs) exempt annual salary offered at a range of $43,000- $50,000 (estimated total compensation $53,000 - $60,000) doe  
  • Starting placement will not exceed this starting salary range and is based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity 
  • This is a hybrid position in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be expected to work within The Contingent’s hybrid work policy (2-3 days in the office, 2-3 days from home) In office days are determined by the primary supervisor.  
  • This position is part of a collaborative matrix management team framework 
  • We have team members located in multiple time zones. To facilitate collaboration HQ Operations will not schedule all staff events outside of the core hours of 9am – 2 pm PST.
