Position Summary:

The Coordinator, Publications and Guidelines for the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine supports the development and delivery of SMFM publications and clinical guidelines. Supports and engages with key stakeholders, partners, and members to aide in publications materials. SMFM maintains an office in Washington, DC, but this position is open to remote workers

Responsibilities:

Publications and Clinical Guidelines

  • Provide administrative support for the SMFM Committees on Publications and Document Review.
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Clinical Guidelines on literature reviews and evidence reviews for SMFM clinical publications.
  • Provide reference verification for SMFM clinical publications.
  • Track and monitor clinical publications in development.
  • Provide administrative support for the internal review of SMFM publications.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for the planning of the annual SMFM President’s Workshop program and assist in the development of final work products.


 Other

  • Work with the SMFM Public Affairs team to promote new SMFM publications.
  • Work with other SMFM committee staff and provide support in the development and internal review of clinical products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High level of attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Sharepoint and Teams.
  • Experience conducting literature searches using PubMed or other databases.
  • Experience with EndNote is a plus.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diversified office and volunteer leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
  • High levels of intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience working for membership association, healthcare entity, or grant-funded organization a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, remain cool under pressure, and manage diverse priorities with positive outcomes.

 

Qualifications: 

 

·         Bachelor’s degree required.
