There is a strong community forming around Yardstik and we have a ton of exciting product features in the roadmap. Your job as Yardstik’s Director of Marketing will be to lead us to new heights as we grow the brand and build the marketing org.
About the role
In this role, you will take the reigns of our marketing org. We are a small scrappy bunch but specialize in punching above our weight. You will lead the team, own our relationships with multiple agency partners, and be a front-line contributor. Our core focus is to grow our audience/community, amplify our content strategy, explore fresh avenues for distribution, double down on events, experiment with innovative channels, and test novel strategies within existing ones. Ultimately, your success in this position will be measured by the growth of our brand, the successful growth of our marketing team, and our ability to build great fit pipeline.
Specifically, we’ll ask that you:
Lead from the front
We’re an early-stage company. It’s everyone’s job to take the garbage out when it gets full. Expect about 75% of the role out of the gates to be executing in the trenches.
Lead from the back
Leading and developing great people and great talent should be in your DNA. We love that you can catch us some fish. But teach us all how to fish and we can feed this whole dang company.
Now, more than ever, it’s insanely hard to stand out. Markets are crowded and buyers have become immune to most traditional tactics. Help us find new ways to make a splash.
Keep the main thing the main thing
Not all marketing efforts can be easily attributed to the outcomes that matter. But all great marketing leaders understand the bottom-line goals and hold themselves and their teams accountable to those measures.
Be Guided by data
You are comfortable with spreadsheets, can run pipeline projections and closed-won deal analyses, communicate what’s working, what isn’t and WHY.

You thrive in a highly autonomous, high-output work environment
You’re comfortable with a high level of visibility, owning a number, and working directly with senior leadership
Previous experience at a B2B SaaS
5+ years experience in B2B growth marketing/demand generation
Experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, and other marketing point solutions
Experience in organic & paid strategies within channels such as Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
