We are adding a Head of Security and Infrastructure to join our Technology Organization’s leadership team. This position is an opportunity to collaborate with leaders and individual contributors across the entire company to help guide us as we grow.

You are the right candidate if you are an experienced security and infrastructure leader with a passion for working collaboratively in a high growth company.  You must be comfortable wearing several different hats, capable of operating with a small team, and able to articulate business cases for its growth if warranted.  This is a great opportunity to have a direct impact on the growth of Yardstik.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Leader, owner, and doer across:

    • Direct partnership working with our General Counsel and other teams to maintain our certifications, accreditations, and attestations (e.g. https://yardstik.com/security/)

    • Product and corporate security

    • DevOps, Site Reliability, and Infrastructure

    • Information Technology:

      • directly own core technical business functions

      • indirectly provide IT leadership for business application owners

    • Maintain vendor relationships, contract renewals, and technology spend

  • Partner with software engineering team to:

    • Ensure product security

    • Enable their build, test, deployment, and release processes

    • Instrument systems for observability and supportability

  • Must be comfortable partnering with departments across Yardstik to securely incorporate AI-powered tools into their technology stacks and processes

 

What you will do in this role:

  • Own your Essential Accountabilities (noted above) with a pragmatic approach as Yardstik grows

  • Be a part of the highly collaborative Technology team at Yardstik

  • Directly engage our Technology org leadership and Principal Engineers to evolve our Technology Org as we grow

  • Directly engage our General Counsel, Go To Market leadership, and CFO org leadership

  • Balance day to day IC work into your priorities without losing focus on your overall Essential Accountabilities (noted above)

 

Your experience might look something like this:

  • 10+ years of total experience in a SaaS-based B2B enterprise software provider company

  • Experience with AI-powered tools

  • Expertise with cloud-native engineering environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)

  • Extensive experience with web security and performance (WAF, CDN, etc.)

  • Expertise in configuring and using advanced monitoring tools

  • Experience with on-call and incident response processes focus on lowering mean-time-to-recovery

  • Experience directly owning an organization's maintenance of its certifications, accreditations, and attestations

Compensation

At Yardstik, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. Yardstik provides the annualized compensation range of $160,000 - $230,000 for this role.
