This role can be a remote based role and will require travel to our prospect and client sites on a monthly basis.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for expanding and leading our team of test analysts by providing guidance in the product development life cycle for all Docupace applications to ensure the highest level of product quality.   The Quality Assurance Manager maintains ultimate responsibility for assuring that all products are defect free and compliant with technical specifications.


Responsibilities/Duties

    • Hire, train, mentor and motivate a team of test engineers that promote a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Responsible for all aspects of testing throughout the software development cycle, including assessing and implementing testing tools and configuration management.
    • Lead efforts to bring testing process and products into conformance with ISO900 and other industry standards.
    • Coordinate all testing tasks within the team including both automated and manual testing.
    • Evaluate, maintain, and improve testing roles and responsibilities within the product development life cycle including customer support reported issues within the product.
    • Continuously evaluate and coach direct reports on their performance through 1:1 weekly meetings and formal performance review cycles.
    • Facilitate the development, implementation, and adherence of testing department standards in partnership with other departments of the organization.
    • Design and Implement training and develop for your team.
    • Collaborate across internal departments and externally with clients.

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum Education:  BA/BS in computer science, engineering or related discipline preferred
    • Licenses/Certifications Preferred:  Advanced ISTQB Test Manager Certification or ISEB Certification
    • Minimum Specific Experience Required:  At least 5 years software quality assurance experience with automated and manual testing systems and at least of 2 years supervisory or managerial QA Testing experience. 
    • Proven experience in testing and quality assurance
    • Experience in writing test cases and overall test plans
    • Experience with automated test development
    • Experience with agile development
    • Experience recommending and implementing enhanced systems and processes
    • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines
    • Familiarity with industry standards and certification (i.e., ISO9000)
