Manager of Government Affairs

If you answered yes to these questions, the American Soybean Association’s Government Affairs team is looking for two government affairs managers to contribute to policy development and advocacy execution, collaborate across ASA functions and provide team support, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
ASA’s Government Affairs team advocates on a wide range of policy issues important to U.S. soybean farmers. Specific advocacy issues assigned to these two positions may include conservation, credit, precision agriculture and ag data, soy foods and biobased products, research, labor, and other issues.

What we need:
· Experience (2-5 years) in federal legislative and regulatory matters and an understanding of agriculture and agricultural legislation.
· Strong communications skills, spoken, written, and listening skills.
· Ability to learn and work independently and proactively, while accepting guidance from other team members.
· Can-do attitude.

· Commitment to excellence.
· Position requires up to 10% travel.
