The American Soybean Association (ASA) is seeking an accounting / compliance coordinator to work within a team environment to perform advanced compliance reviews on accounts payable and disbursements, maintain program filing for audits, assist with billing, and invoices for the WISHH Program.
The role includes:
- Maintain the WISHH Program filings, including accounts payables, accounting receivables, billings, contracts, country office expenses, sub-recipient records, and other materials for audits.
- Prepare reconciliations, billing registers, and financial reports for monthly and quarterly funding source billings.
- Compile and organize documents for financial reports and billings from billing registers.
- Record funding source billings in accounting system & track payments.
- Perform compliance review and reconciliation of country office expenses and local taxes in each country office’s accounting database. Work with country office(s) to resolve any issues.
- Work with country office(s) to ensure bank reconciliations are received and reconciled to each office’s accounting database.
- Perform compliance review of sub-recipient financial reports, reconciliations and/or expense packets prior to payment and/or recording to general ledger.
- Assist controller with monthly timesheet analysis, computing hourly billing for financial reports and funding source billings, WISHH Program related accounting and/or compliance issues, monthly intercompany expenses reconciliation and reimbursement, and various audits.
- Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information, including providing general ledgers, historical information. Provide advice and guidance on accounting and compliance issues as needed.
