About the Position
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a key part in maintaining the quality and safety of infrastructure in the Downtown Business Improvement District (DDBID) and surrounding Enterprise Districts. You will conduct inspections, assist in the oversight of special projects and events, and work closely with the public and contractors to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained downtown environment.
About the Job
- Perform daily inspections of contractor performance and vendor compliance on designated streets, including 16th Street.
- Conduct regular inspections across the DDBID and Enterprise Districts to ensure adherence to established standards.
- Assist with inspections related to snow removal in multiple downtown corridors.
- Report infrastructure issues to the Coordinator of Downtown Environment for timely mitigation.
- Conduct punch list inspections for special projects.
- Provide oversight and inspection for special events where DDBID & DDP manage permitting.
- Maintain an active log of permits within the right-of-way areas managed by the DDBID.
- Track and follow up on tickets reported through the Clean and Safe app, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist with the annual streetlight inventory and other program implementation tasks.
- Field community questions and manage inquiries related to permits and other public concerns.
- Oversee the permit issuance process and manage the application workflow.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent and relevant experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic knowledge of permit management and public safety standards (preferred but not required).
- Comfort and experience learning and utilize new software.
- Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical inspections in various weather conditions.
