This is not a horizontal “seen-it-all” marketing position.

This role is for a CMO who wants to own enterprise demand generation, product narrative, and marketing accountability end-to-end, and who is energized by complexity, rigor, and measurable outcomes.

The Mandate

Bidgely is at a point where sales-led growth alone is no longer sufficient or efficient. The next phase of growth requires a marketing leader who can:

  • Build a scalable, inbound demand engine that materially reduces reliance on expensive, push-based enterprise sales

  • Translate deeply complex products into clear, differentiated enterprise narratives

  • Create distinct demand streams for multiple product lines, not a single generic brand story

  • Establish marketing as a data-driven growth function, not a service organization

  • Scale the marketing organization, systems, and operating model as the business grows and integrates acquisitions

What You Will Own

As CMO, you will fully own:

Enterprise Demand Generation

  • Design and execute a measurable inbound demand strategy that consistently produces 1.5–2x pipeline coverage

  • Build differentiated demand motions by product line, customer segment, and use case

  • Establish clear accountability for MQL → SQL → pipeline quality, not just volume

  • Ensure marketing demand supports pricing discipline, not discounting

Product & Market Narrative

  • Develop sharp, product-specific storytelling that reflects the real complexity of Bidgely’s platform

  • Ensure every product line has a clear value narrative, target buyer, and demand motion

  • Prevent generic messaging by deeply understanding the technology, data, and customer outcomes

Brand Credibility

  • Build a credible enterprise brand presence in a market where Bidgely is currently underrepresented

  • Elevate Bidgely’s voice with utilities, regulators, industry leaders, and partners

  • Drive thought leadership grounded in substance, not marketing gloss

Marketing Operations & Scale

  • Build a modern, efficient, KPI-driven marketing organization

  • Scale systems, dashboards, attribution, and operating rigor

  • Double the size and effectiveness of the marketing function as the business grows

  • Integrate marketing strategy across acquisitions

Who This Role Is For

This role is for a marketing leader who:

  • Has deep B2B enterprise experience, not broad horizontal exposure

  • Has succeeded in one or two complex environments and grown through them

  • Has demonstrated career progression and longevity, not frequent lateral moves

  • Is fluent in enterprise sales dynamics, long cycles, and regulated markets

  • Is relentlessly data-driven, with real KPIs tied to revenue, pipeline, and efficiency

  • Uses AI natively as part of their operating model, not just for content or email creation

  • Is comfortable being accountable for outcomes, not just activity

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a demand-gen-only operator

  • Not a brand-only CMO

  • Not a generalist marketer

Not a role for someone who struggles with product depth or technical complexity

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $225,000 - $250,000 with up to 30% variable earnings DOE.

 

In accordance with the California Equal Pay and Pay Transparency laws , the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
