How You Fit In
At Bidgely, the Inside Sales team is a key driver of top-of-funnel growth, helping utilities unlock the power of AI to solve immediate challenges and drive the clean energy transition. As an Inside Sales Manager, you’ll not only prospect and engage decision-makers but also coach and mentor a team of 2-3 Business Development Representatives. Leading by example, you’ll drive results while developing the next generation of sales talent. We’re looking for someone who thrives on solving problems, works cross-functionally, and communicates complex solutions with clarity. The ideal candidate brings both technical aptitude and sales leadership, making an immediate impact while building a long-term strategy for success. You’ll be at the forefront, helping utility leaders understand how Bidgely’s AI solutions solve their pain points, while empowering your team to do the same.
What You Will Do
Lead and Develop the Business Development Team

Mentor and coach Business Development Representatives to drive performance, providing guidance on best practices and strategic outreach.

Conduct regular training sessions on prospecting techniques, messaging/positioning, CRM usage, and pipeline management.

Inspire the team with a growth-focused mindset, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and collaboration.
Build and Grow the Pipeline

Lead by example with hands-on prospecting through cold calls, emails, and social selling.

Own and enhance lead databases, using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo to ensure team efficiency.

Strategically design and execute integrated, multi-channel inside sales campaigns, leveraging tools like Salesloft.

Qualify leads using BANT and ensure high-quality handoffs to the sales team.

Leverage strategic events by securing key meetings and progressing account plans.
Drive Measurable Results, Reporting and Analytics

Develop, track, and report on weekly Inside Sales Metrics, including conversion rates, lead follow-up times, and sales team productivity.

Reporting & Dashboard Creation: Experience in creating and delivering weekly sales dashboards to track sales activity, conversions, and marketing effectiveness.

Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and the cadence and performance of BDR outreach to drive lead generation.

Create performance dashboards and automated reporting to track key sales, marketing, and business development KPIs.

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Leadership to identify trends and recommend data-driven strategies for performance optimization.

Maintain and update accurate and relevant sales and marketing reports, ensuring data quality and consistency across all systems.
Targeted Outreach and Relationships:

Develop and execute strategic outreach campaigns with your team, ensuring a personalized approach to key accounts.

Research target accounts and decision-makers, ensuring the team’s outreach is highly relevant and effective.

Build lasting relationships with key prospects while coaching your team to do the same.
Skills and Qualifications
-
Confident, driven sales leader with track record of measurable success.

5-7 years in sales or business development including experience in B2B or SaaS, with experience as a high-performing team lead driving pipeline growth.

Demonstrated the ability to lead and develop a team while maintaining your own high performance.

Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels while coaching others to do the same.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering continuous improvement and learning for both yourself and your team.

Ability to compile and report on key metrics such as conversion rates, lead qualification, and sales funnel performance.

Strong experience with sales performance metrics, reporting, and analysis.

Expertise in sales-marketing tech stack for outreach, tracking and analytics tools to monitor sales and marketing performance. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Salesloft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a must. Marketo expertise and other tool proficiency (eg Leandata, Zoominfo, Demandbase) is preferred.

Ability to define and segment target ICPs, using data-driven insights to ensure sales efforts are focused on high-potential customers.

Knowledge of inside sales SLA best practices to set clear expectations for response times, follow-up frequencies, and conversion benchmarks.

Compensation
-
$110,000-$130,000 + variable earnings based on performance metrics
In accordance with the California Equal Pay and Pay Transparency laws , the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
