The Position

 

Claritas Rx has a nimble Silicon Valley start-up culture. We are looking to build a strong team of domain experts that can help scale a premier channel management solution.

At Claritas Rx, Data Scientists work with our Customer Success and product teams to design, build, and deploy advanced analytics models to support our product and customers’ business needs. Data Scientists also support Customer Success in analytics consulting engagements and develop custom features.  Claritas Data Scientists perform a range of activities that include data analytics, model building, presentation and delivery of results.  Our Data Scientists are active advisors to both our customers and our product team: they are data curious, enjoy analytical problem solving, are learning-oriented and enjoy coaching and collaborating with other team members to solve a variety of business problems. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter, intellectually curious, result-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • In collaboration with the Customer Success team, perform data analysis and reporting, create visualizations and presentations to answer business questions and support analytical consulting revenue
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Product teams to productize and deploy analytical features and tools to enhance product value and meet customer needs
  • Learn and apply existing Department data science tools, methodologies and processes to analyze and answer business questions
  • With some guidance from Manager or senior team members, complete work independently within reasonable timeline; perform thorough quality check to ensure the accuracy and completeness of work deliverables
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge analytics solutions for our platform; leverage data science technologies, including machine learning, to build or improve patient journey predictive analytics tools and models 
  • Maintain and improve core analytical data models and data science algorithms
  • Establish productive working relationships with senior stakeholders and partners across functions
  • Proactively research and study new techniques and tools to resolve challenges and improve outcomes

 

Required Qualifications

  • MS in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Operations Research, or other STEM fields, with 1 year experience in analytics or data science function at pharma/biotech manufacturer, health tech start-up, or technology company;
  • Proficient in applying statistical programming language such as Python or R to analyze large volumes of data to derive insights and produce data visualizations.
  • Capable of applying foundational statistical concepts and methodologies to answer business questions, including but not limited to: statistical distribution, A/B testing, experimental design, hypothesis testing.  
  • Foundational knowledge of statistical modeling methods and techniques, including logistic regression, multivariate linear regression, variable feature selection
  • Solid practical knowledge and experience with tabular datasets and relational database; able to exam, clean and transform datasets programmatically using Python, R and/or SQL for subsequent analysis and modeling
  • Write data analysis code that is functional, clear and easy to understand; able to deploy existing Department core asset library to address various business needs
  • A creative approach to analytical problem solving and a relentless passion for quality and innovation
  • Good written and oral communication

Additional Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Tableau development experience
  • Familiarity with healthcare data sources (transactional, clinical, behavioral), and the healthcare industry in general
  • Expertise in commercial/clinical analytics
  • Experience in scalable data science infrastructure and technology such as Snowflake, Dask, Ray

 

Education

Required:

  • MS in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Business Analytics or other STEM fields.
