The Position

We want to build a strong delivery team of experts to help scale a premier channel management solution.We are a rapidly growing healthcare technology company seeking a Principal Software Engineer with deep experience in data engineering for healthcare to join our team. This is a key role in building out the new version of our healthcare data platform. As the Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in its design, development and migration from our current engineering stack, as well as working on near-term customer projects and deliverables.
Responsibilities
Play a key role in designing and developing our healthcare data platform using the latest technologies, including AWS services, databases, and Python.
Work closely with product managers, UI team, and data scientists to define and implement data-driven solutions for customers.
Develop and maintain configurable data pipelines that ingest, curate, transform, and de-identify healthcare data from various sources.
Design and implement data pipeline modules that meet product requirements, regulatory compliance, and security standards.
Develop features for data quality management and data governance.
Collaborate with stakeholders in other teams to ensure that our data platform integrates seamlessly with data sources and meets customer requirements.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in healthcare technology and data platforms.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on healthcare data platforms and data engineering.
- Expert technical skills in software design and development.
- Proficiency in Python, Airflow, relational and NoSQL databases, Parquet, and DeltaLake.
- Familiarity with AWS data processing, transformation, and migration tools, including DataBrew, Glue, AppFlow, Lambda, etc., is a plus. Candidates with production hands-on with these utilities will be preferred.
- Deep domain knowledge in healthcare technology and data, including experience developing secure, scalable data platforms for patient data ingestion, curation, and validation.
- Experience with security and regulatory compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and GDPR.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a collegial, team-centric attitude.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
