 The Position

Claritas Rx has a nimble Silicon Valley start-up culture. We want to build a strong delivery team of experts to help scale a premier channel management solution.

At Claritas Rx, our Solutions Architects lead the implementation of our standard product offering for both new and existing customer programs. You will join our Delivery and Operations department and focus on the “Delivery” side of our work. Solutions Architects work as part of a small team on customer projects and typically get involved at the beginning of our new customer workstreams. You will be regarded as an important and visible leader within Claritas Rx, combining pharmaceutical industry domain expertise and high technical acumen. Solutions Architects take charge of designing and managing the product solution for our new customers and setting them on a journey for success and scalability with the Claritas Rx product. Our Solutions Architects enjoy working with customers on business questions and requirements, designing systems within a product framework, solving technical challenges, and working cross-functionally with Product, Customer Service, and Business Development teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the solution architecture plan for 3-5 new Claritas Rx customers, depending on project size. For each new implementation, Solution Architects will:
    • Translate customer requirements into solution designs that are streamlined and reflect the Claritas Rx standard product offerings.
    • Develop and own the master design documentation (ERDs, data flow diagrams, build plans) for new programs and transition to the Customer Service team post-implementation.
    • Hands-on in implementing configurations directly and advising other team members in the Customer Service team on how to implement based on their design
    • Ensure the implementation plan adheres to our standard product offering where possible and recommend custom enhancements to the plan where necessary.
  • Lead the Central Governance Design process by reviewing and approving custom design elements slotted for integration into the Product Design database.
  • Develop deep knowledge of Claritas Rx product model and, where needed, develop documentation for the Product Design database. Solution Architects will work closely with Product team members and CSLs to develop and document standards and best practices from and for new customer implementations.
  • Provide an initial feasibility assessment and technical review of incoming Sales Orders and assist with Business Development on client pitches as needed.

 

Education/Experience:

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in a commercial capacity at a pharma/biotech manufacturer; a health tech start-up; or a healthcare consulting role
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with key customer and data partner stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to listen, advise, empathize, and explain technical concepts in a non-technical way.
  • A deep understanding of business domain requirements in the pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing domain, including functional areas such as Market Access, Finance, and Sales Operations.
  • Excellent analytics skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into an implementation plan which adheres to product standards.
  • Excellent skills in relational database design and ERD modeling. Strong project management skills are a plus.
  • Self-starter in a fast pace start-up environment takes initiative to learn new applications and software.
  • Ability to contribute to implementation project delivery efforts by making solution design recommendations in consideration of technical challenges, resourcing constraints, and other prioritization factors.

 

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of prior work experience as a solutions architect in the life sciences industry.
