At Claritas Rx, the Vice President of Engineering is responsible for driving technical excellence, innovation, and overall success of our software development efforts. You will work closely with our product and customer delivery teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that improve patient outcomes and transform the healthcare industry.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and execute the Engineering department's strategic plans and objectives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement within the Engineering team.
- Build and maintain high-performing Engineering teams, including recruiting, training, and mentoring top talent.
- Establish and maintain engineering best practices, quality standards, and development methodologies, with a focus on SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance and patient data privacy.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize development initiatives and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leaders in product management, sales, and customer success.
- Manage the Engineering department's budget, resource allocation, and project timelines.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in healthcare and software engineering to guide future development initiatives.
- Lead and oversaw the implementation of agile processes for iterative software development.
- Working with the Privacy and Compliance Team to ensure systems are secure and meet requirements of HIPAA, HITRUST,HITECH, and other protocols as appropriate
- Collaborating with the Customer Solutions and Product teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and are delivered promptly while maintaining the balance of the new features and engineering excellence.
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 10 years in a leadership position.
- Experience with Salesforce and front-end applications.
- Deep domain knowledge in healthcare technology and data, including experience with building secure, scalable data platforms for patient data ingestion, curation, and validation.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software products in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Strong technical skills in software architecture and software engineering best practices, with proficiency in Python, Airflow, Salesforce, and AWS.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
