The Position 

The Director of Sales Operations is a principal stakeholder and subject matter expert supporting business development (BD) at Claritas Rx.  This role supports Business Development Directors and other externally facing BD personnel, helping optimize how they spend their time and their tools.  This individual owns training for the external-facing BD team, helping them understand how to leverage resources best to build the new customer pipeline of the company.   These and related activities successfully support deal velocity by enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of sales capacity, enabling the growth of new customers at Claritas Rx and the value the company creates for the biotechnology industry. 

    Key Accountabilities


    Collaborate with Marketing to optimize tools and resources for external BD efforts, including a sales CRM and reporting application

    ·       Create and organize sales training materials, and conduct trainings as needed to enable BD Directors and other key roles to be maximally effective in external outreach and communication

    ·       Own the RFP response process and oversee the smooth execution of proposal submission

    ·       Support the BD team with consultation as necessary as opportunities progress

    ·       Automate tracking of key sales KPIs and advice on opportunities to enhance performance

    ·       Manage a right-sized sales operations team to execute responsibilities in a timely and effective manner

    ·       Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to design sales and marketing materials and related content articulating our value proposition to customer segments

    Leverage available commercial data to maintain and enhance customer segmentation, targeting,  and recommended team alignment

    Skills/Knowledge:

    ·       Excellent written and oral communication, with great listening and interpersonal skills

    ·       Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

    ·       Intermediate-to-expert level proficiency with HubSpot and similar CRM platforms

    ·       Ability to think creatively about how to add value to diverse stakeholders and fluidly tailor marketing messages to audiences based on their context and objectives

    ·       Ability to prioritize, organize and execute multiple tasks with attention to detail

    ·       Ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies when selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining and measuring results

    ·       Ability to maintain focus and collaborate proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment

    ·       Ability to work collaboratively across technical functions


    Education/Experience

    Required:

    ·       7+ years of experience supporting sales operations and field effectiveness in the biotech industry or in a technology partner

    ·       2+ years managing a sales operations team with a demonstrated track record of helping execute top-line growth goals

    Preferred:

    ·       MBA, MPH,  or another advanced degree in a technology-enabled healthcare service or related field

    ·       Demonstrated track record of field support as a subject matter expert or sales engineer, supporting the execution of growth targets

    ·       3+ years of executing complex data integration projects with a highly functional knowledge of system components and architecture
