Summary:

The Network Consulting Engineer is responsible for providing consultation, design, and systems. This role will collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, assess existing infrastructure, and develop tailored solutions to meet their wireless connectivity requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive assessments of client requirements and existing wireless infrastructure with Ekahau.

  • Designs wireless network solutions, including coverage maps, antenna placement, frequency planning, and equipment selection.

  • Oversees the implementation and deployment of wireless networks, ensuring proper installation and configuration of hardware and software components with 9800 WLCs and AirOS.

  • Performs site surveys, signal testing, and troubleshooting to optimize network performance and reliability.

  • Creates detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, specifications, and reports.

  • Provides ongoing support to clients, including troubleshooting issues, answering technical inquiries, and offering guidance on network maintenance and upgrades.

  • Stays updated with the latest developments in wireless communication technologies and industry best practices.

  • Manufacturing and warehouse wireless design and implementation experience

  • Candidate must have at least 1 additional area of implementation experience – route/switch, datacenter, security, or collaboration

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in wireless engineering or a related field, with a focus on consulting or professional services.

  • Previous Cisco partner experience is a huge plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

 

Certification Requirements:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) 

    • CCIE Preferred
