Patient Intake Specialist
Position Summary: Speechcenter, A Sidekick Company is seeking an experienced Patient Intake Specialist to join our team at our pediatric speech therapy clinic in Winston-Salem, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience submitting Medicaid and commercial insurance authorizations, data entry, fax processing, collecting copays, and scheduling, while providing exceptional support to our administrative and clinical teams.

Preferred Experience and Essential Duties:
- Insurance Authorizations: Submitting Medicaid and commercial insurance authorizations in a timely manner.
- Patient Check-in Assistance: Greeting patients, collecting co-pays, verifying information with families, answering phones, checking voicemails, assistance with scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
- Patient Ledgers: Maintain and update patient ledgers to ensure accurate billing information and payment history.
- Administrative: Data entry and fax processing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical team, office staff, and management to provide support.
- Confidentiality: Maintain patient records and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced level computer skills required
- MS Office 365, SharePoint, and Excel are preferred
Language Ability:
- Effectively respond to questions from office staff and clinic team
- Respond effectively to time-sensitive inquiries
Reasoning Ability:
- Strong organization and documentation skills with an ability to multitask, manage and prioritize multiple and competing projects
