POSITION: Sales Planner

THE OPPORTUNITY: Sales Planner
The Sales Planner (SP) is a highly motivated self-starter with a passion for ideation, media planning, creativity, and analytics! The SP is responsible for knowing Channel Factory’s products and offerings inside and out. Next to Sales, the SP is the first touch point for clients and is responsible for being the expert in the social video and influencer marketplace, and hence, able to advise and consult clients on video advertising. A Sales Planner is the driving force in the RFP process – digesting and understanding client objectives, then building a media plan that will nail the client KPIs. The right person for this role must be very detail-oriented, a strong communicator, a problem-solver, and is adept at building & managing relationships. Specifically…
• Effectively translate client RFPs and devise media strategy across various categories
• Develop tactical media plans that align with the most suitable Channel Factory products to successfully achieve client KPIs
• Ensure all proposals and products recommended are executable and in-line with Channel Factory’s core competencies
• Accountable for building and curating sample targeting lists that are spot on with a brand’s intended audience
• Responsible for knowing and being up-to-date with all of Channel Factory’s offerings
• Effectively communicate, advise, and field questions from client and Sales regarding product (specs, 3P integrations, research studies, etc.)
• Lead in answering client questions associated with RFP proposal in a timely and responsible manner
• Conduct, compile, and organize product and market research for assigned accounts, and integrate intelligence into RFP responses
• Aid in building sales materials that include but are not limited to case studies, RFIs, client spec sheets, category best practices, and product updates for clients
• Utilize statistics and campaign data to open and/or close business
• Accurately fill out and maintain SalesForce with the most updated client RFP proposal and negotiation information
• Collaborate with Sales to proactively pitch opportunities to non-active clients and encourage new campaigns
• Partner with Account Management to seamlessly transition campaign from pre- to post-sales
• Keep an ear to the marketplace and AdOps to understand current inventory trends and availability that may impact pricing
• Stay up-to-date on trends in the ad tech and digital advertising space, as well as your assigned client categories
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES
• BA/BS
• 1-3 years of experience at a digital media agency or ad tech publisher in an assistant or planner role
• Ideal candidates will have 1+ years of hands-on planning or campaign implementation associated with YouTube via Google AdWords, Facebook, PMD, Programmatic, and/or Influencer campaigns
• Bonus points if you are AdWords, YouTube, and/or Facebook certified!
• Passion and thirst of the online video space
• Entrepreneurial spirit that is not shy about hunting for more business
• Effective communication and storytelling ability
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills including PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of Excel calculations, pivot tables, and graphs
• Gets a rush from being a part of the Sales cycle and may even want to grow into a Sales Rep
• A self-directed professional who knows what needs to be done and operates with a sense of urgency, focus, and discipline
• Able to effectively prioritize, taking into account deadlines across various time zones
• Highly organized and detail oriented professional
