The Test Engineer at ExoTerra will work with multiple disciplines to build, integrate, and test spacecraft and propulsion electrical systems at the component, subsystem and system levels.
The test engineer will select test equipment, develop test procedures, and execute testing of flight hardware based on requirements in a dynamic production atmosphere.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Develop, write, review, and implement test plans, test procedures and SOPs
· Assist in the planning, development and implementation of testing activities
· Participate in Non-conformance resolution and perform testing to find root cause
· Perform troubleshooting to determine failure and resolutions on non-conforming hardware
·Perform system and component level testing in vacuum and thermal-vacuum chambers
·Perform hot-fire testing of electric propulsion thrusters
·Perform pressure leak testing with vacuum chambers and mass-spectrometer leak detectors
· Perform electrical functional testing of flight hardware
· Perform vibration and thermal cycle testing.
· Take a leadership role, work with engineers of other disciplines to develop test sets tailored for the verification of flight hardware
· Initiative to identify and complete tasks with evolving requirements and minimal direction
· Develop, design and implement hardware and software tools for the production line environment
· Training technician and test conductors
· Ensure product meets all customer requirements and test procedures capture all required data
· Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree- Engineering Discipline preferred
· Experience with Spacecraft Testing and requirements
· Experience with AS9100 processes and certification
· Experience with non-conformance resolution
· Experience with testing process development
· Good written and verbal communication skills

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range: $89,000-$158,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
