Role Overview:

Engage as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to coach employees and managers at the Paris office and for all JMM Retail locations/staff on work-related issues including but not limited to conflict resolution, performance management, interpretation of company policy, and establishing company culture. Under the direction of the VP of Human Resources, the HR Generalist manages all aspects of the HR function for the EU region including employee coaching &  development, labor relations, policy interpretation, compensation administration, legal compliance, recruitment and any HR-related ad-hoc projects.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Your responsibilities are - but not limited to:

 

Employee / Labor Relations:

  • Build and maintain relations with employees to promote and foster an environment of open communication and transparent feedback.

  • Conduct investigations, provide coaching, and document findings, when required.

  • Responds to employee-related issues as needed.

  • Oversee programs for all employees

  • Assist the philanthropic and culture committees with the event planning for the year as needed.

Recruitment & On/Off-Boarding:

  • Engaged with recruiting as required to document/update overlapping processes and complete mandatory reporting.

  • Conduct new hire onboarding sessions.

  • Process all new hires ensuring required documents are collected and properly stored.

  • Process monthly payroll

  • Prepare all off-boarding packages and participate in exit interviews as needed

Performance & Talent Management:

  • Participate in building/managing the performance, talent, and organizational planning management systems to help drive the achievement of company goals through objective and development plan setting, performance calibration, and talent development.

  • Participate and or lead the critical interface on all tools available to improve individual and team performance at all levels.

Compliance:

  • Supporting a holistic safety focus by driving people-related safety goals and business initiatives

  • Ensure all compliance programs/plans are successfully implemented.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of employee records, implementing an HRIS system, and ensuring information within the system is accurate and up to date.

  • Process employment changes such as terminations, position, title, manager, and salary changes.

  • Perform audit and compliance reviews as requested, including payroll reviews.

Benefits:

  • Assist with benefit enrollment and other benefit-related programs as needed.

  • Manage post-enrollment reconciliation.

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in Human Resource Management or a related field (e.g., Business, Organizational Communication, Industrial Psychology) is required.

  • 3+ years of experience in a professional level Human Resources role.

  • Knowledge of French employment laws, HR technical knowledge
