Role Overview:

The Omnichannel Inventory Planner is responsible for sales analysis, reporting and planning for the commercial department.  This individual is responsible for identifying opportunities and liabilities and devising strategies to optimize sales.

This role is also in charge of allocating inventory to the various channels following strategic priorities.

The role will report to the Vice President, of Global Sales

 

Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and report on detailed seasonal and fiscal sales budgets and forecasts, working closely with commercial (retail, wholesale, digital) teams to set sales budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement internal reporting applications / planning systems / databases including:

o   Business performance by account and by department

o   Bookings history and distribution databases and summaries

o   Shipping/budget status updates

o   Market share/sell-out reporting tools

 

  • Managing stock allocations across channels.
  • Monitor performance of products across channels to consider strategic rebalancing.
  • Provide analytical support needed to wholesale, retail, digital teams and to a certain extent to finance, logistics and executive teams.
  • Partner with IT team to maintain and support reporting needs.

 

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of retail or wholesale planning experience or merchandising experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze sales data
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; including building out PowerPoint presentations
  • Luxury goods or fashion experience is a plus
  • Experience as Buyer, Account Executive combined with current planning/finance job is a plus
  • Microsoft Access skills a plus
