Role Overview:

The Product Development Manager is  based out of our corporate office in Los Angeles and will report to the Global President. The Product Development Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing processes' smooth and efficient operation, from sourcing materials to final product sample delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion production management, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

 

Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development cycle from initial concept through production handoff.

• Ensures development execution is in accordance with design, allocation, sourcing, and brand strategy.

• Lead cross functional communication and coordination of timing, calendar, product updates, approvals, and issues.

• Source raw materials and components delivery while maintaining quality standards.

• Anticipate and identify any potential obstacles in the development process and facilitate the effective resolution of issues.

• Identify and maintain seasonal development metrics.

• Partner with cross functional teams to develop and execute samples

• Manage seasonal product line activities.

• Manages and executes cost process, negotiates pricing, and tracks cost submittals.

 

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.

• 3-5 years experience working in product development within the fashion industry, preferably with luxury goods..

• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in using production management software and tools to track progress, manage inventory, and analyze production data.

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

• Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all production-related activities.
