About the Company

Founded in 2014 by Jerome Jacques Marie Mage, Jacques Marie Mage is a Los Angeles-based producer of limited-edition designer goods specializing in the micro-production of luxury eyewear for a clientele of discerning tastes.

With each new collection, JMM embraces a unique palette of precious materials, rich colors, and striking geometric forms, which cleverly reference and beautifully reconfigure the striking individuals, artistic movements, and world events of previous centuries. All JMM eyewear is ethically sourced and produced with the utmost respect for industry partners' environment and wellbeing.

About the Role

As Jacques Marie Mage expands beyond eyewear into jewelry and leather goods, we are seeking a detail oriented and hands-on Jewelry-Quaity Control Specialist to own this category end to end at our Los Angeles warehouse. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of jewelry in the warehouse : from quality control and repairs to packaging readiness, ensuring our newest categories are handled to the same exacting standards as our eyewear. The ideal candidate combines craftsmanship, strong communication skills, and the judgment required to handle high-value goods with care and discretion. This position is on-site in our Downtown Warehouse and reports to the Senior Director of Operations.

Responsibilities (6-8 bullets) - Describe the duties and daily work

  • Category Ownership: Be the go to person for all Jewelry related questions in our warehouse

  • Quality Control: Perform quality control on all incoming and outgoing jewelry, ensuring every piece meets JMM standards before receipt into stock or shipment to customers and galleries.

  • Repairs:Repair jewelry as needed.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for repairs that cannot be completed in house, managing the repair through to completion.

  • Ensure packaging for jewelry is always on hand, monitoring stock levels and flagging replenishment needs in advance.

  • Work closely with Supply Chain and other internal teams to communicate issues and updates on this category in the warehouse.

  • Build the QC standards themselves: a documented inspection checklist per product type, a defect library with photos (what counts as critical vs. minor for a clasp, a solder joint, an edge paint flaw), and pass/fail criteria — so QC survives beyond one person's eye

  • Track and report defect trends by vendor and product, turning QC from gatekeeping into vendor

accountability (defect reports, corrective action requests)

Key Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in luxury goods, specifically jewelry

  •  Hands-on experience repairing jewelry, or a demonstrated aptitude for fine detail work with

precious metals.

  • Demonstrated experience handling high-value or secure inventory with integrity and discretion.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across global teams

and time zones.

  • Working knowledge of inventory systems (NetSuite preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel

and Word, with intermediate overall computer skills.

  • Physically able to complete required tasks such as walking, lifting, bending, and working in a

fast-paced environment.

  • Must be proficient in English, both speaking and writing, with professional email etiquette (Gmail).
