As the Wholesale executive for Australia and SE Asia, you will have the opportunity to shape the strategy for our Wholesale channel in collaboration with key stakeholders. You will have responsibility for the channel performance and profitability in your market, and you will be working in partnership with the global team on key commercial strategies and decisions. You will also be leading key projects, including our wholesale footprint evolution, and you will provide valuable market feedback about trends and competition.

 

The Role will be reporting to the VP of Global Sales.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • In collaboration with the Executive team, define and implement wholesale strategies and action plans by market.
  • Build and execute a roadmap across optical wholesale and fashion accounts that seek to grow existing and develop new customers.
  • Collaborate with global merchandising on assortment and develop category strategies aligned with the company vision and direction.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Supply Chain on demand and ensure order execution on time and in full. Discuss any quality issues feedback and collaborate to ensure resolution.
  • Collaborate with Finance on sales targets, performance, risks & opportunities, and key commercial agreements.
  • Agree on seasonal budgets and monitor performance per category and across the channel. Responsible for implementation and profitability.
  • Develop reporting solutions for the wholesale channel to enable further visibility and allow for better decision-making and tracking of strategy execution.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to facilitate relevant support as required and improve performance within key accounts (special projects, pop-ups, capsules, etc.)
  • Ensure that the brand guidelines and standards are executed in accordance with the brand.
  • Provide best-in-class customer service to our wholesale partners, conduct regular customer visits, and present the collections with all relevant product and marketing information.
  • Attend all trade shows and sales meetings. Support and host trunk shows as needed.
  • Responsible for the showroom team and budgeting process around the showroom
  • Provide competitor intelligence in the territory and translate market knowledge, trends, and analysis to inform merchandising, product development, and overall company strategy discussions.
  • Support the development of new product categories by providing constant feedback from the market.

 

 

 

The accomplished individual will possess:

  • Good oral and written English is required
  • Extensive experience of Wholesale and within roles of seniority ideally in luxury houses or selective eyewear brands
  • Exceptional commercial acumen ability to demonstrate ability to drive results Strong knowledge of Wholesale distribution networks (optical stores as a priority and also departments stores/fashion stores as a plus) in Australia and Asia
  • Comfortable leading change and projects. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable with travel in Asia
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and work cross functionally.
  • Proven analytical skills in Retail/Wholesale metrics to drive towards profitability.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel and PowerPoint mainly)
  • Good oral and written English is required
