Role Overview:

The HR Generalist, based in Los Angeles, plays a key role in fostering a compliant, inclusive, and people-centric environment across the U.S. region while directly supporting the Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) headquarters. This role is responsible for leading core human resources functions—including employee relations, compliance, payroll and benefits administration, HR operations, and cultural engagement initiatives—aligned with business goals and the company’s values.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process U.S. payroll in coordination with finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, plan changes, and addressing employee questions.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, offering guidance and conflict resolution in line with company policy.

  • Interpret and enforce HR policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Manage leave of absence cases (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, etc.) and other time-off requests.

  • Support employee development and engagement initiatives in collaboration with leadership

  • Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and documentation in accordance with compliance standards.

  • Contribute to broader HR projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in a generalist or HR management role.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR compliance practices.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple HR functions independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on employee experience and organizational culture.
