Role Overview:
The Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate reconciliation of daily and monthly sales, inventory, and cash transactions, including verifying point-of-sale data, managing bank and book balances, and addressing discrepancies. The position also supports month-end and year-end closing procedures, focusing on Fixed Assets, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet reconciliation, while maintaining adherence to company policies and internal controls. Accurate reporting on cash positions and liquidity is provided to management, ensuring the integrity of financial records.
Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily and monthly sales and inventory reconciliation to ensure all sales transactions are recorded accurately and timely and correspondent inventory movements are appropriately reflected in the ledger.

Reconcile daily sales data with financial systems and ensure that discrepancies are investigated and resolved.

Review and verify all point-of-sale (POS) transactions, including credit card and cash payments.

Work closely with sales and operations teams to address discrepancies or missing sales data.

Reconcile daily and monthly cash accounts, including bank statements and internal records.

Record deposits from all payment sources and manage chargebacks.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank and book balances.

Provide accurate reports to management on cash positions and liquidity.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures with specific focus on Fixed Assets Management, handling of prepaid expenses and balance Sheet reconciliation.

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and internal controls for cash handling and sales transactions.

Assist in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger with accurate and timely postings.
Key Requirements:

Strong knowledge of NetSuite and payment processing platforms.

Experience with bank reconciliation and financial reporting.

Exposure to inventory reconciliation.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, Customer Service, and Retail teams.
