Our client, Kenstan Lock Company, is a leading designer and manufacturer of highly engineered locking systems for the retail, government, and medical industries. Customers include many of the largest and most respected retailers in the world. Over the company’s 60-year history it has built a reputation for quality, durability, and excellent customer service. They are seeking an experienced salesperson who is well versed in enterprise sales processes to spearhead sales growth opportunities for their existing line of retail locks, including their next generation IoT electromechanical products. The successful candidate will represent the company and their products in a proficient, knowledgeable, and dependable manner. They will provide support, trouble shoot problems, and present solutions for hardware and access control systems.

This role will report to the office in Plainview, NY on Long Island at least two days a week and may work remotely or from the road for the remaining days.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and promote suitable products.
  • Demonstrate the ability to address each customer’s and partner’s unique inquiry, while providing them with the proper information and appropriate solution based on the customer’s specific needs and interests.
  • Understand and work in all aspects of the sales cycle, including qualifying prospects, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and the closing process.
  • Create an engaging follow-up process to ensure you do not let a lead go untouched.
  • Attend trade shows and “meetups” to develop new contacts.
  • Regularly update all customer and prospect information as well as all user communications and follow-ups through HubSpot.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
  • Coordinate development timelines and track activities to meet delivery and cost commitments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 40% of the time.

 

Job Requirements and Qualification

  • 5 + years’ experience with Enterprise Sales.
  • Preferably experience in the retail industry and/or access control and security space.
  • Proven results in a quota-oriented sales environment and a general understanding of technology and technological innovations.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and product demonstration skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM.
  • Understand and work in all aspects of the sales cycle, including qualifying leads, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and the closing process.

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical locking systems.
  • Experience with retail fixture manufacturing companies.
