Our client is hiring a Director of Core Product and OEM Strategy to lead execution of their core platform and strengthen OEM integration across environments. This role reports directly to the CEO and manages Product Management, integration resources, and outsourced technical partners.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership and room to grow as the company scales.
Travel required to support OEM engagement, key fleet meetings, and strategic field sessions.
Role Mandate
Build a disciplined, commercially grounded product engine that:
• Establishes clear configuration standards and support boundaries
• Reduces integration-related friction
• Brings structured prioritization and business case rigor to product investments
• Drives larger deals through OEM leverage
Core Responsibilities
Core Platform Leadership
• Own execution and prioritization of the core platform
• Define and maintain a clear OEM support matrix
• Bring structured tradeoffs and business cases to platform investment decisions
Product Leadership
• Lead Product Management including SmartPortal, SmartInsights, and SmartPlus
• Ensure add-on products align with core platform evolution
• Establish disciplined roadmap prioritization tied to revenue impact
OEM and Integration Strategy
• Build and deepen OEM relationships
• Drive spec alignment where appropriate
• Establish configuration standards across major platforms
• Reduce recurring OEM-related escalations
Sales Engineering and Technical Oversight
• Support complex fleet opportunities involving OEM or configuration nuance
• Guide and prioritize work with outsourced firmware and technical partners
