• Applied Visions is a software development company focused on creating visual solutions to solve complex problems across multiple industries. We are seeking an Associate Product Specialist to assist in developing and maintaining a vision for the product and be responsible for communicating the vision to the team. The primary responsibility of the Associate Product Specialist is to author user stories with acceptance criteria that deliver an outstanding user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical knowledge that promotes critical and logical analysis that allows them to solve complex problems.

         

        The Associate Product Specialist will coordinate with our clients, project engineers, quality assurance teams and development teams as well as project managers to ensure that business, quality and functional goals are met. This role is responsible for the user facing design, usability, quality and delivery of a product or feature. The ideal candidate understands both the engineering and the business side of the product and is ultimately responsible for representing the end user’s needs.

         

        What you’ll do:

        • Gather and collect customer requirements
        • Organize customer requirements by priority (commonly known as epics) in the designated tool
        • Write user stories with acceptance criteria that provides crucial details about the product’s functionality to meet customer requirements  
        • An in-depth understanding of the customer requirements to become the advocate for the customer as well as end-users
        • Coordinate with the UX/UI team to help facilitate design efforts to meet customer expectations
        • Communicate customer requirements to all team members
        • Organize, facilitate, and lead standard meetings within the agile process (sprint planning, backlogs/estimations, grooming, retrospectives)
        • Build and maintain customer relationships

         

        You should have:

        • Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and collaborate
        • Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment
        • Strong writing and organizational skills
        • Displays a technical aptitude, critical/logical thinking, and leadership skills
        • Experience working with customers/clients
        • Experience working within a team environment
        • Bachelor's degree in a related field (computer science, journalism, business, design, etc.)

         

        Nice-to-haves:

        •  6 months - 1 year of experience working in the industry
        • Applicable management experience
        • A basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
        • A basic understanding of the Agile methodology
