Applied Visions is a software development company, seeking a part-time dynamic and resourceful receptionist to be the first point of contact for the company and to provide administrative support across the organization. Our ideal candidate will be proactive and assertive, have a passion for creating structure from chaos, and require minimal oversight. We need someone who can handle the flow of people through the business; has great follow through and a positive attitude, and who loves the idea of working in a fast paced, diverse office environment where no two days are the same. What you’ll do:
• Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
• Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
• Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers
• Order supplies, run errands, perform special projects as needed
• Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access
• Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointments, book conference rooms
• Maintaining our coffee machines, scheduling service if necessary, replenishing and restocking supplies as needed
• Assist with keeping the office tidy and neat
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties as needed such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing data entry, etc.
You should have:
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Professional appearance
• Solid communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
• Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
• High school diploma
• Working experience in similar roles a plus
