Code Dx, Inc. was spun out in 2015 from the Secure Decisions division of Applied Visions, Inc., to offer new technical solutions in application security, which is one of the fastest growing areas of cybersecurity. Our flagship product, Code Dx Enterprise, is an application vulnerability management system, which correlates and consolidates the vulnerabilities found by static, dynamic and manual analyses, and then helps security teams and developers to prioritize the vulnerabilities, assign them to developers for fixing, and track the remediation of the software. Code Dx Enterprise has been recognized by Gartner as a leader in the Application Vulnerability Correlation and Application Security Testing Orchestration markets. The technology underlying Code Dx was developed with funding from the Department of Homeland Security, which considers it a national imperative to secure the software supply chain.
Code Dx is currently seeking a talented Sales Engineer to drive the technical elements of the pre-sales process and post-sales onboarding. Responsibilities include technical consultation with prospects, customers, and members of the sales team, refinement and creation of customer technical requirements, management of all technical tasks associated with product evaluations, and preparation of technical presentations and demonstrations to customers and at national conferences. This position will work closely with, and report to, the Director of Sales.

What you’ll do:
• Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our clients
• Serve as the technical liaison on all sales calls, and field deeper technical questions during the entire sales cycle.
• Identify target requirements by building personal rapport with potential customers; deliver presentations and demonstrations; provide technical training; and onboard new customers.
• Work with the customer support team to maintain and improve customer satisfaction, as well as strengthen relationships with current customers to ensure renewals.
• Travel to customer sites to meet with prospects both within the United States and abroad.
• Participate in strategic and tactical product planning discussions; follow industry technology trends and share that knowledge with internal sales and product teams.
• Represent Code Dx at industry conferences, speaking engagements, and sales webinars.
• Seek ways to improve the product and demonstrations, such as building integrations using our REST API and other tools, automate tasks and generally seek creative ways to make the product more appealing, especially in demonstrations and evaluations.
You should have:
• 5+ years of experience in customer-facing positions such as sales engineer, professional services consultant, trainer or technical support engineer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, technical discovery and product demonstration skills. Candidate must be equally comfortable communicating in person, over the phone or via email.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field preferred.
Nice-to-haves:
• Knowledge of the application security domain (AppSec) including knowledge of open source, static analysis and dynamic tools as well as commercial tools such as HP Fortify, IBM’s AppScan, Veracode, WhiteHat, Synopsys Coverity, Checkmarx, Parasoft, etc.
• Experience with computer programming, specifically knowledge of Scala.
Candidates with customer-facing experience at companies that provide Static Application Security Testing (SAST) or Dynamic AST (DAST), and/or DevOps tools are especially encouraged to apply.
