We’re a growing product company seeking a full-stack software engineer with knowledge of JavaScript, Java and Scala to help us create web-based tools that help developers write better, more-secure software. We practice user-focused design, with simple but effective user interfaces combined with powerful visualizations. We rely on Scala to achieve our goals, use agile techniques, and like to stay ahead of the curve, so if you want to be part of the next generation of programming, like to use Trello, think that Git or Mercurial are a must, and just plain want to work on a fun project that will help people like you write secure code, then boy do we have a job for you.
You will play an active role in the full development lifecycle. You will work with customers to understand their needs, keep up with the latest tools and techniques for software security, shape projects, define tasks, and build solutions. This is a hands-on role where an individual with strong analytical and communication skills, and a keen focus on helping our users write better code, will do well.
You Will:
• Work on architecture, design, and product definition that leads and influences decisions and outcomes related to project direction
• Design, implement, and test new features
• Communicate effectively with all team members – we work closely with one another and don’t like it when folks are isolated in their niche areas
• Develop high quality, deliverable software with little management intervention or oversight
You Bring:
• 2-5 years of experience in software development
• Strong experience working on web-based applications across the full development stack.
• Proficiency with Java or C#; Scala experience is a major plus
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Pluses:
• Experience with Scala, or some other functional language
• Experience working with static or dynamic analysis tools
• A solid understanding of secure software development principles and software assurance
