The Jr. Marketing Operations and Campaign Specialist is a full-time, remote position at Snappy Kraken. Accessibility requirements are dependent on the role but could be expected during standard business hours Monday through Friday. This position is open to any candidates currently residing and eligible to legally work in Canada.


The Purpose of This Role

The Jr. Marketing Operations and Campaign Specialist ensures that the marketing technology and automations are integrated and deployed effectively across the company, funnels are optimized, data is analyzed and tracked properly, reports are being used appropriately with insights applied, and communication routines and Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) are running smoothly. 


This person reports into the Marketing Operations and Data Manager and supports Snappy Kraken’s marketing operations and data needs. 


Primary Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day marketing operations and data activities

  • End-to-end optimization and governance of marketing operational processes and identifying process gaps to drive improvements

  • Executing data-driven initiatives to maximize the efficiency of marketing campaigns

  • Creation of  technical aspects of key marketing systems (automation workflows, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads

  • Ensure data is flowing properly in the marketing technology stack

  • Maintenance of CRM contact database and make recommendations for data cleanup, collection and enrichment opportunities 

  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and updating the company knowledge base

  • Working with the marketing, sales and customer experience teams to support funnel marketing initiatives and workflows to drive conversion rates and optimize leaky funnels

  • Customer journey mapping 

  • Supporting marketing in the creation and analysis of metric reports and dashboards to determine effectiveness, ROI and business impact 

  • Proactively exploring and analyzing data to uncover trends, and present findings

  • Develop robust KPIs and scorecards for marketing performance monitoring

  • Support in prioritizing and execution of internal marketing inquiries

  • Assist in departmental alignment, sales enablement support, troubleshooting and problem-solving

  • Set-up of operational elements of virtual and physical events as necessary

  • Additional marketing and campaign support as necessary


Primary Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, or analysis-based discipline

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in marketing automation, operations or marketing specialist role 

  • Experience working in CRM systems, (Hubspot is a plus) and improving existing workflows

  • Demonstrated understanding of performance measurement, marketing metrics, and operational KPIs

  • Familiarity with working cross-functionally between sales, marketing, and customer experience

  • Ability to articulate and translate operational challenges to scalable, process-driven solutions, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

  • Exposure to working in Fintech, Software as a Service (SaaS), and B2B marketing environments is an asset

  • Previous experience producing in a virtual environment is an asset

  • Proper remote working environment with stable high-speed internet, electricity, and appropriate working space

  • Strong asynchronous communication ability

  • Tech-Savvy and highly comfortable working with remote communication software 

  • Ability to be productive, disciplined, and trustworthy while working independently
