The Purpose of This Role

The purpose of this role is to manage and maintain the day-to-day workflows in the advertising department while helping lead the team and growing revenue. The Advertising Manager will also act as the liaison between the team and the Advertising Director. 



Primary Role & Responsibilities

The primary function of this role is to act as the team lead for our AdBoost program. This includes:


  • Team management: the Advertising Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining our advertising team as we grow. Setting and achieving weekly, monthly, quarterly, individual, and team KPIs/OKRs. Having daily/weekly progress calls with teammates to help with achieving set goals

  • Pipeline management: the Advertising Manager will own the member pipeline and help with completing, updating, and delegating team tasks to help all of our members progress

  • Communications: the Advertising Manager will own our internal team communications. In a fast-paced environment with multiple departments working together, there is an ongoing stream of advertising questions that this person will own/delegate to teammates as need be

  • Scale revenue: the Advertising Manager will be responsible for increasing program revenue and customer retention under the direction of the Advertising Director


Primary Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience of advertising experience

  • 2-4 years of experience leading a team of 2+ people

  • Previous experience in a managerial/ team lead role

  • Comfortable with tech stacks- productivity, communication, data/ analytics are all done with a range of tools and spreadsheets

  • Organization/ structure- the Advertising Manager will be responsible for many ongoing tasks, and a solid organizational system is very important to stay ahead, and to be constantly progressing the department forward

  • Leadership/ growth mindset- our perfect candidate is a self-starter, a big thinker, and is excited to lead a growing team

  • Advertising experience- knowledge and competence with FB advertising and (ideally) neighboring advertising platforms such as Google, LinkedIn, Youtube

Working remotely for Snappy Kraken requires that each team member independently obtains and maintains their own proper working environment, fully equipped with all needed furniture and supplies, including but not limited to stable high-speed internet. The chosen work environment must be clean and free of distractions or noises that may inhibit the ability to provide the functions described in this job description. 

Probationary Period 

New hires must complete a 90-day probationary period. During this time, a new hire will receive training to help them get acquainted with the role, our culture, and learn how to properly execute job functions. An employment relationship may continue if it’s a good fit for everyone, based on the new hire’s alignment with Snappy Kraken values, performance evaluation of specific milestones, accessibility, and communication.  

Accessibility Requirements

As a remote company, it is critical to remember that our contributions and teams are interconnected and accessibility is the expectation. Availability during standard East Coast business hours, or as scheduled, for client inquiries, team calls, and video chats is expected.
