To support our rapid growth, we’re looking for a talented Remote HR Specialist. Working directly with the COO, this role is responsible for continually elevating the candidate and employee experiences in a rapidly changing environment. This person is energized by full cycle recruiting & onboarding, learning & development, and compliance in a 100% remote environment of 45+ team members (and increasing!). The ideal person possesses creative thinking ability, proven executive functions, and enjoys collaboration to help build and maintain the best possible HR initiatives. Passionate about learning and development, this person will contribute to content creation, developing structured learning programs, and making recommendations to enhance and accelerate the employee growth experience. As a member of a small team, this person should expect to complete general HR tasks as needed. Career path opportunities could be further skill specialization or HR Manager.


  • Holds honestly, trust, and confidentiality in high regard

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • BSc/MSc in Human Resources or relevant field preferred

  • Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist in a remote and distributed environment

  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems

  • Familiar with employment compliance standards and risk reduction methods 

  • Full cycle recruiting experience

  • Great problem-solving abilities and ability to anticipate potential outcomes

  • A genuinely positive and energetic personality

  • Ability to prioritize inbound requests and tasks in a high-volume environment, exercise proper time management, and meet deadlines consistently

  • Attention to detail and employee experience standards
