Job Summary: 

You will get your hands into all facets of medical economics in this fast-paced start-up.  We are developing a proprietary network to support our growing membership.   You will report to the SVP of Network Development and be surrounded by a strong team of experienced managed care negotiators.  

You will work closely with the network development team in contract analytics, competitive intelligence analysis and medical cost analysis.  

The position is remote will light (5-10%) travel

Responsibilities:

• Assess the competitive position of individual contracts.  Previous experience with transparency data is desirable.

• Assist negotiators with contract analysis of various proposals.  Make recommendations for proposal improvement.  

• Work with data teams to improve medical cost reporting and identify opportunities for medical cost improvements.

• Keep abreast of medical cost trends, both industry wide and company specific, and inform key constituents of these trends.

• Assess capabilities of vendors and make recommendations on which vendor relationships to maintain or pursue

• Performs additional duties as assigned

 

Characteristics/Skills Required:

• Should possess a bachelor’s degree.

• 5+ years of medical cost experience complex delivery systems and organizations required.

• Experience with Physician, Hospital and Ancillary group contracting and negotiation.  Preferably with commercial agreements.  

• Knowledge of complex reimbursement methodologies

• Experience assessing competitive positions of contracts and/or markets.

• Team player with proven ability to develop strong working relationships within a fast-paced start up organization.

• Strong problem solving, decision-making, and negotiating skills
