We are seeking a Senior Actuary to support Curative’s pricing and portfolio strategy team. This
will be a unique actuarial role combining traditional actuarial responsibilities (i.e., data science,
experience studies, pricing) with operational and strategic ownership (interaction and ownership
of key matrix relationships with sales, account management, underwriting, and operational
executives). This role will be a key contributor to the broader company as Curative expands and
grows.
This role requires 3+ years of actuarial or analytics experience, strong interpersonal and
communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team and across all levels of an
organization. An ASA is highly preferred.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop effective pricing strategies to meet growth and profitability targets
● Partner with leadership to refine underwriting guidelines and procedures in line with
Curative’s growth and pricing strategy
● Develop advanced analytics on Curative data warehouse (e.g., claims, member
interactions, etc.) to inform strategy
● Refine methodology to calculate group rates for new business and renewal based on
analysis of a group’s experience, industry, location, and demographics
● Develop executive reporting on actuarial and financial metrics (e.g., group-level expected
vs actual cost)
● Mentor junior underwriting and actuarial team members
● Maintain strong relationships and lines of communication with internal and external
stakeholders
● Assist where needed on high-priority underwriting requests (e.g., final peer review,
actuarial troubleshooting of rate build up)
● Performs other projects and duties in support of the company as required

● Ability to effectively coordinate and manage matrix stakeholders to execute on projects
and priorities
● Capable of independently driving multiple projects and workstreams
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
● Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, economics,
actuarial science, business, computer science or related degree
● 3-5 years of actuarial and/or analytics experience (Midmarket and level funding actuarial
experience preferred)
● Experience with excel
● Experience in health insurance industry, data analysis or data management
● Knowledge of SQL and relational databases a plus
● Associate of the Society of Actuaries (A.S.A.) designation preferred
